CleanBC Rebate Submission Deadline Approaching

Reminder BCT cleanBC

Since 2019, the BC Trucking Association (BCTA) has been facilitating the CleanBC Heavy-duty Vehicle Efficiency (HDVE) Program. CleanBC is the provincial government's plan to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by shifting away from fossil fuels and towards renewable energy. The purpose is to help move the province towards the legislated targets for reducing GHG emissions 40% below 2007 levels by 2030.

The HDVE program targets the reduction of heavy-duty commercial vehicle GHG emissions in BC through fuel-efficiency techniques and proven technology, until the day that near-zero or zero-emission heavy-duty vehicle options are readily available and feasible for carriers operating in BC.

ColdFront is offering a variety of products that qualify for incentives under the CleanBC HDVE program, including:

  • Carrier Transicold Vector Reefers – Hybrid diesel-electric Transportation Refrigeration Unit
  • Carrier Transicold ASPEN Auxiliary Power Unit – Fuel-reducing technology providing heat, a/c, power, battery charging in a driver's truck without idling
  • Webasto Heaters – Fuel-reducing technology to heat and pre-warm the engine without idling.

The current year's program (Year 5) is coming to a close soon, and applications must be submitted prior to August 31st, 2024. With the deadline looming, ColdFront is encouraging all customers to complete their free fuel-efficiency course and submit their application, ColdFront invoice, and supporting documentation as soon as possible.
